Site VSWR -
Seibersdorf Labor GmbH
The Site VSWR measurement is done according to CISPR 16-1-4 in the frequency range from 1 GHz to 18 GHz using broadband omni directional antennas in horizontal and vertical polarisation. The volumetric test method is applied (test volume needs to be specified), test distance 3 m - any other distance upon request. The ground plane has to be covered with absorbing material.

Cuming-Lehman Chambers
It’s nearly impossible to perform VHF/UHF measurements in a rectangular chamber. In the 1960’s Emerson determined that tapering one end of an Anechoic Chamber would cause the chamber to act like an indoor ground reflection range.Tapered Chambers work very well at the lower frequencies. Their design forms a uniform illumination across the test region. The tapered end of the chamber forces the wall images close together forming a source antenna array. Tapered Chambers are usually a less expensive option compared to rectangular antenna measurement chambers or compact ranges.

CATR Radar Test System UTP 5069 -
NOFFZ Computer Technik GmbH
Modern driver assistance systems must recognize increasingly complex traffic scenarios and convert them into appropriate vehicle reactions with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and specific algorithms. Imaging radar sensors with a higher spatial resolution, so-called imaging radar sensors, are therefore required. These can better distinguish larger from smaller objects and, due to the larger antenna apertures, also require larger dimensions of the test environment or larger far-field distances. Testing these sensors in the direct far field ( UTP 5065 ) would therefore require very large absorber chambers up to ten meters in size and more. Our efficient test system UTP 5069 offers exactly the right solution:By using CATR technology (Compact Antenna Test Range), 4D, imaging and other radar sensors with large far-field distances are calibrated with high precision in a small footprint. With the extremely low-reflection NOFFZ absorber chamber, the system is very well suited not only for validation, but also for EOL tests.
